Patch Progress

Kira has been wearing her patch for 2-3 hours for almost two months now.  Her first trip back to the eye doctor showed huge improvement and we are hoping that it will continue to improve in the next few weeks.  She complains initially when we put it on each time but she doesn't mention it for the remainder of the time she is wearing it.  The company that we buy the patches from also sells fun posters where the kids can put their patches each day after wearing them.

Last week Kira filled up her first chart and we promised her a special prize for all of her hard work.  We had a fun girls' night out with Grandma and went out to dinner and then to Build a Bear to get some new clothes for Giggles.  Kira picked out a Rapunzel outfit for her bear and some glasses.  The regular glasses were not very cute so Kira decided to get pink sunglasses instead.  I thought the wig would have long hair but it ended up being short. 

Kira picked a fish chart to complete next.  Hopefully this will be the last chart we will have to do!
