Easter 2012

Jeff's parents and brother came down to visit the week of Easter.  We enjoyed spending time with them and had some great weather!  One of the days we met up with the Rhotons for an egg hunt sponsored by Chick Fil A.  They did not have enough eggs so the kids only got a couple and the hunt was over in about 1 minute.  They had fun though and got to see the Easter Bunny.  I had some fun getting ready for Easter with some ideas I found on Pinterest.  Kira did a craft where we put masking tape on white paper in the shape of a cross and then she painted the background with watercolors.  When it dried we peeled off the tape and there was a beautiful picture left with a white cross in the middle.  I also made cinnamon roll Easter bunnies (so easy!) and a cupcake display shaped like a bunny.  Kira and Baba decorated foam eggs with foam stickers and we used these as place cards for the Easter meal.

All of our family pictures look like this - Jeff's mom is fired!  ;)

On Easter morning we got dressed up and headed to church.  After a great sermon from our new pastor we headed back to our house to see what the Easter Bunny had left for us.  In addition to candy, Kira got some princess gifts and Logan got car gifts.  We spent the rest of the afternoon dyeing eggs, eating a yummy meal, and going on egg hunts in the backyard.  Uncle Jeremy bought Kira a giant bubble wand and the two of them played with it for hours!  Logan's favorite activity of the day (and month) was riding in the wagon.  Cousin Emma had fun on her first Easter and got a lot of attention.

Jeremy led Kira with the bubbles...right off the sidewalk and tumbling into the street.
