Zoo

We are members of the National Zoo but haven't been in a while.  So long that the baby panda now looks like this:

We took the kids and Emma on a Friday in May and had perfect zoo weather.  It was our first time seeing the baby panda and we had a great view of it.  The lions were also very active the day we visited.  The sea lion exhibit is always a favorite of ours and they put on a good show.  I was sad to learn that one of the young sea lions died unexpectedly a few days later.

Of course my kids enjoyed learning and seeing how much poop an elephant drops each day.

The kids had fun spending the day together and enjoyed a ride on the carousel.  Kira rode on a ladybug, Logan rode on a lion, and Emma rode on an antelope.
