A Busy July

Most of our time in July was spent at the pool.  Both kids were on the swim team so we were there each weekday morning as well as most afternoons for fun.  More on swim team in a future post...

We spent the 4th of July with our friends, the Engs.  The kids had fun playing together and the adults had a laid-back evening.  We set off some pretty lame fireworks but the kids were still entertained. This was the first year the kids were brave enough to do the sparklers.

 
Later in the month we had some friends come over for a water playdate.  The highlight of the afternoon was the water balloons.

Jeff and I went to Shania Twain's "final" concert tour at the Verizon Center.  I've been to all of her concerts in the DC area.  We ate at a yummy pizza restaurant before the concert.  Shania is definitely getting old, but it was still a great concert and I loved singing along to all of the songs.
