We headed to Wyomissing, PA to stay at our friend's house and have a relaxing weekend. Wyomissing was a really cute town and we had a great time catching up and eating a ton of yummy food.
On Saturday we enjoyed a brunch honoring our friend who is having her first baby. Then we headed into town for lunch at a restaurant called, "Say Cheese!" For dessert we visited a cupcake shop run by a winner of the show, Cupcake Wars. For a second dessert we had gourmet hot chocolate at a place called, "Haute Chocolate."

We were pretty stuffed at that point but we were off to our next adventure, a cooking class! We made three (homemade!) pasta dishes, salad, and a dessert. The food took a while to prepare so we got our appetite back by the time everything was ready to eat. It was a fun experience and the food was delicious. I can't wait to try out some of the recipes at home and plan on buying some of the tools to make my own homemade pasta.

I forget the name...a fancy pear dessert that was amazing!
On Sunday morning we went to a popular brunch spot. It took forever to get a table and then to get our food but the wait was worth it. Our entertainment during the meal was an appearance by Jon Gosselin (from Jon & Kate + 8) who came in to eat at the restaurant. I should probably mention that Wyomissing is where Kate lives with the kids so he had probably just left from seeing the kids. He was with a woman who we guessed was his girlfriend.
