Camping Trip #1

Over Memorial Day weekend we went on our first camping trip of the season with the Laniers.  We had to stay a minimum of 3 nights so it was our longest camping trip ever.  Other than having to buy extra ice for the cooler, I really enjoyed having more time to relax in between setting up and taking down the campsite.

The kids were excited to be back at the Harper's Ferry KOA.  Highlights of the weekend were the flashlight candy hunt, swimming, the jumping pillow, mini golf, and a trip to Harper's Ferry.

We visited the town of Harper's Ferry two times that weekend.  The first time we took a walk across the bridge that parallels the train tracks and then walked along the river.  We stopped to have a picnic lunch on the rocks down by the water.

We saw the train crossing the river on the way back!

The second trip into town was for ice cream.  We had so much good food all weekend!
