We had to squeeze in one more trip to the beach before the summer ended so we went to Ocean City, MD for Labor Day Weekend. We had great weather but had to deal with crazy waves for two of the days. The lifeguards even pulled everyone out of the water at one point to teach us about rip currents and tell us not to go more than waist deep. The kids loved playing in the rough waves but we kept a death grip on them the whole time. Logan loved playing in the sand, Kira was content to lay on her towel and devour chapter books.
Our friends met us for two of the days and we had a great time together. We went to some yummy restaurants, pigged out on Thrasher's Fries, and walked on the boardwalk each night.
One morning we enjoyed a family bike ride on a surrey. We made sure to get up early so we could take advantage of the half priced rate. It was worth it as we got to enjoy the beautiful sunrise as we rode down the boardwalk!
