Logan is TWO!

On December 22nd we celebrated Logan's second birthday!  Our advent activity that day was picked with Logan in mind.  Logan likes to smell flowers and LOVES trains so we went to the US Botanic Garden.  He enjoyed the trains so much that he probably would have stayed there for hours if we let him.

In the evening we had the whole family over for a special car themed birthday party.  We had meatloaf, cake, and opened presents.

At Logan's 2 year check up, he was 36 inches tall (88%), 32.6 pounds, (92%), and his head circumference was 51.6 centimeters (99%).  His height percentile went down a little bit and his weight went up from his last check up.  We plugged in his numbers in an online height predictor tool and it said he will be 6'2" when he grows up.  That sounds good to me!  Tall, but not freakishly tall (which makes clothing shopping quite a challenge).

Logan is a lot of fun these days.  He is getting over his separation anxiety but is still cautious and shy around strangers.  He loves to be silly and play with his sister.  Logan's favorite toys are cars and trains but he also enjoys art activities and listening to books.  He loves the alphabet and knows all of his letters and most of their sounds.  He is talking in short sentences, with the occasional 5-6 word sentence thrown in.
