It all started 10 years ago...

10 years ago, Jeff and I (friends at the time) made a deal that if we weren't dating anyone on Valentine's Day, we would spend it together.  Jeff showed up at my door on 2/14/03 with a rose and cooked me dinner.  We then watched a movie on the couch and he slipped his arm around me.  At the time he claimed that he was just being friendly and didn't want me to be sad or alone on Valentine's Day but I saw through his plan.  What guy brings a girl a rose and cuddles with her if he isn't interested?  Well, after that evening we officially started to date when Jeff took me to a little Italian restaurant in Georgetown.

Fast forward 10 years to present time:

Jeff and I were treated to a date night on Saturday.  My parents kept the kids Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning.  We spent the afternoon leisurely running our errands together and then made the trek to Georgetown for the evening. 

We decided to go back to the Italian restaurant (Filomena) that we loved so much when we first started dating.  The restaurant was decorated for Valentine's Day and we were able to take advantage of the Restaurant Week menu.  The food was just as good as I remembered, if not better!  We tried to take pictures of our food but were so eager to eat it that we forgot to take some of the pictures until the food was half gone.  Please excuse some of the half eaten food pictures!  I think we might be going back there when Restaurant Week comes back this summer.
