Museum of Natural History

A couple of weeks ago we headed into DC for an adventure.  We took the metro and Logan loved his first metro ride.  Grandma came with us and we met our friends at the museum.  We had a rainy five minute walk across the mall but other than that it was a fun and easy trip with the kids.

The kids liked looking at the dinosaur skeletons, insect zoo, stuffed mammals, and the gemstones.  There favorite thing though was the wildebeest poop and an animated video about how cows digest food and then poop.  They could have watched that video over and over for an hour!  We ate lunch at the food court, right at the same time as hundreds of middle school kids on field trips.  That was interesting.

We didn't make it home until well after 3:00 and I was so impressed with how well the kids did without a nap after a long day.  This summer we hope to check out some more museums in DC.
