Later that evening, Jeff and I headed to DC for a date night. We found a great parking spot one block from the Verizon Center and grabbed a quick meal at Nando's Peri Peri. We had never heard of it before but it looked good. I would describe it as a Portuguese Panera/Boston Market. We really liked it and plan on going back to their new location at Pentagon Row in Arlington. After eating we went to the Verizon Center to see the Celtics play the Wizards in the season opener. I was most excited about the free tickets we scored in a suite! Jeff used his basketball connections to get us the tickets and it was a great first experience (for me). The funny thing is that the suite we were in was owned by Ted Leonsis's company that runs the Wizards and Capitals. Since Jeff is a huge Cetlics fan we were warned not to wear green and to keep the cheering for the away team to a minimum. Jeff's best man (and fellow NBA blogger) joined us for the game as well as an employee of SBNation, the company that bought Jeff's blog.
It was much more relaxing to watch the game from the suite because you had room to spread out, hang up your coat, and a private bathroom. They had also provided free food, drinks, and a very impressive dessert spread. The suite experience was great but I still think I prefer sitting courtside. The night ended on a positive note with a win for the Celtics!

I love Logan's haircut, he's too cute! And the game looks like it was fun!
