At lunchtime I took Kira to a birthday party, but not for her! The party was for a girl in Kira's preschool class who turned 4 one week earlier. Kira had a great time (it was at My Gym) and didn't make one comment about it being her birthday, too. I was proud of her for being a good sport and recognizing that we were there to celebrate the other girl's birthday.
Kira's big present this year was a new princess bike with training wheels. She's taken a few spills already on it but loves riding it and putting baby dolls in the carriage basket.
We let Kira skip her afternoon nap and enjoyed a special movie time. We gathered on the floor with a bunch of blankets and pillows, popped popcorn, ate Halloween candy, and watch Kira's new movie - The Princess and the Popstar. Kira got quite a few new toys that went with this new movie because the popstar's name is Keira!
In the evening we met up with Grandma and Papa Carpenter, Aunt Liane, Uncle Jeremy and Emma. Kira picked The Silver Diner for her birthday meal and we all pigged out. For dessert we had candy bar ice cream pies.
