Quick Trip to Plymouth

Jeff had some vacation days to use and Kira had a couple of days off school so we made a last minute decision to head up to MA in early November.

We got there just in time for a Nor'Easter but had some beautiful weather a few days later.  It was a nice time to visit.  It wasn't too cold, the leaves were pretty, and we hit very little traffic on the long drive.

Our first morning we drove over to the ocean to see the big waves from the Nor'Easter.  Then we made a trip to Toys R Us and the kids got some new toys from their grandparents.

The next day we went to the Cape to check out the beach house we are going to rent next August. We found a lot of horseshoe crabs that had washed up after the storm.  Before heading back to the house we stopped for doughnuts at Dunkin Donut's main competitor, Honey Dew Donuts.  They were pretty good!  My favorites are still Colossal Donuts from Shopper's.

Our last full day was beautiful so we visited one of my favorite spots in Plymouth, Ellisville Harbor. We made the little hike down to the beach and did some exploring.  This time we were welcomed by over 25 seals hanging out on the rocks in the water.  They were noisy.  I didn't see any great white sharks lurking nearby.

We had a great visit we came back feeling rested and refreshed!
