Springfield Town Center Opening

On October 17th the new Springfield Town Center opened.  This was really exciting for me since I have lived in Springfield my whole life (except for college and one year in Arlington) and I love shopping.

My mom and I headed out early to get in line for the opening in hopes of getting one of 200 gift cards.  We were numbers 224 and 225 in line.  Oh well, it was still exciting to be there for the opening event.  There were a couple speeches, live music, and some cheesy performers.  It was exciting walking around and checking out the mall for the first time.  We didn't get many freebies though.

We showed up two days later to buy some socks at The Children's Place and happened to walk into the store as they were giving away $20 gift cards.  Jeff and I got the last two!  That definitely made up for not getting gift cards at the opening.
