Disney Day 2

On our second day we went to Hollywood Studios (formerly known as MGM Studios).  We were able to meet up with one of Jeff's friends and his family who now live in FL.  We saw Sophia, rode on the new Toy Story Mania ride, and saw Mickey Mouse again.

Jeff had fun taking the kids on the Star Tours ride and then dressing them up like his favorite characters.

 
Logan's favorite show was the stunt car show that had a guest appearance by Lightning McQueen.  He loved seeing all of the stunt car tricks and every time there was gunfire (they were pretending to shoot an action movie), Logan would clap.  He doesn't really know what a gun and gunfire are so I think when he heard the noise he thought it was applause from the audience.

Kira's favorite ride of the day was Tower of Terror.  I was a little unsure of how she would handle the spooky parts but she was fine and loved the thrill of falling down an elevator shaft.  She had a look of sheer terror throughout the drops but when it was over said, "That was awesome!  I want to go again!"  We ran out of time to go again so we will definitely have to go there first when we return.

My sister and husband headed off to Victoria and Albert's for dinner (a fancy, adults only restaurant) so we took Emma with us to dinner at the Sci Fi Dine In Theater.  The food wasn't that great but the kids loved eating in a convertible.  The restaurant is set up like a drive in movie theater and shows old movie clips on the big screen.  My favorite part of the meal was the milkshake.
