Disney Day 1

We just got back from a 7 night vacation to Disney World in Florida.  It was a magical (and exhausting) trip and the kids loved everything about it!

On Saturday morning we flew out of Reagan National.  This was Logan's first flight.  Kira had been on an airplane a few times when she was 1 but didn't remember it.  The kids did a great job pulling around their suitcases at the airport and had fun on the airplane.  Aside from some crying during the landing (their ears were hurting), it was a smooth trip.  We took a Disney bus to our resort and Logan fell asleep in the last five minutes of the trip.  That was it for his nap that day.

After checking in to our hotel, The Art of Animation (more on that later), we headed to Epcot for the afternoon and evening.  We met some Disney characters, rode some rides, and ate at The Garden Grill restaurant for a character dinner.  I was excited that Logan made the 40 inch requirement for some of the bigger kid rides so he was able to ride Test Track and Soarin'.

The Garden Grill restaurant at Epcot was one of our favorites of the trip.  The food was yummy and Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale visited our table throughout the meal.  The restaurant slowly revolved in a circle and we had changing scenery (part of a ride one level below us) while we ate.  The meal was family style, all you can eat, and was rolls, salad, turkey, fish, beef, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and blueberry cobbler.  Me and my niece got birthday cake since we were celebrating birthdays during our trip.
