Disney Day 5

Day 5 was my birthday!  We went to the Magic Kingdom for the day, riding some of our favorite rides again and some we didn't get to the other day.  It rained off and on during the morning but the sun came out mid afternoon.

For lunch we ate at Be Our Guest, the new restaurant in Belle's castle.  We were able to get special lunch reservations and bypass the long line.  You order your food at electronic kiosks and then sit down in one of three themed rooms.  We sat in the grand ballroom.  A few minutes later, our food was wheeled up on a cart and they located us by tracking our magic bands.  The food was pretty good and it was a beautiful restaurant.

That afternoon while the two younger kids took naps, Grandma and I took Kira to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  This was an incredible experience and I'm so glad we did it!  Kira was assigned a fairy godmother and sat in a chair, about to be turned into a princess.  They did her hair, makeup, and nails.  Then the fairy godmother sprinkled fairy dust on her and spun her around to see the transformation in the mirror.  Kira was so patient during the appointment (it took about an hour) and her fairy godmother was so good with her. She took her time and spoke to her in character the whole time.  For example, she would talk about how she brushed Rapunzel's hair that morning, all 75 feet of it.  She also asked Kira if she had a Prince Charming...Kira said, "Yes, Daddy."  :)

After the boutique we watched the afternoon parade and then surprised Kira with a visit with Rapunzel!  We also got to meet up briefly with a friend who is in charge of the stage shows at Cinderella's Castle.

Visiting with Charlotte

We took our little princess to dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table with the whole family.  Emma dressed up as Princess Aurora.  This is a pricey meal in Cinderella's Castle but it was worth every penny.  The food was great, the restaurant was beautiful, and we received excellent service.  Five princesses made appearances and came to our table to chat with the kids and take pictures.  Emma had been scared of characters all week but all of sudden changed her mind when Aurora showed up.  It was great to see her hug Aurora and pose for pictures.  Logan won't admit it, but he loves princesses also.  He was hugging and kissing them and a couple of times we had to tell him to let go of them.  Jasmine kissed his forehead and left a big lipstick mark on his forehead.  In addition to the fancy desserts served by the restaurant, we celebrated my birthday and Emma's birthday with not one, but TWO cakes!  My sister was going to get just one for us both but decided to surprise me with a cake of my own.  It was excessive, but if you can't pig out at Disney, where can you?

We finished the day with a couple more rides and the fireworks show.  The kids were pretty exhausted after such an exciting day!
